You know the feeling.
The tears might start to build up. If you are very connected to your body, you feel a sense of heat in your arms and your chest, as the heat rises and the tears almost sizzle and boil, like a lava-like eruption of emotion.
It is here, in this space that you feel is overwhelm or that you’ve “given in” to the emotion, that you can access your warrior-like passion.
A warrior does reside in you; your DNA carries centuries of those who fought with experience, to gain rights and life. Your passion also, resides within you, which your anger or tears actually prove. The strong almost uncontrollable emotion that you might feel in times of struggle, is passion. We think of passion as only something we choose, or that we like. It’s just emotion and emotion is energy. We can direct our energy and thus, we can direct our passion.
I want you to imagine you are holding a hawk feather, a large one, from it’s wing; in one hand you hold the feather. You stroke your opposite arm with the feather. You feel it’s lightness. Then, I want you to imagine that you can observe this feather before it fell from the sky. How high did this feather ever reach? How many miles did it carry the bird as part of a mighty wing?
Now, imagine you can transfer the energy it still holds, and give it to your own being.
Imagine you are holding it because it was meant for you. Really close your eyes and feel this.
When you open your eyes, and in those moments that you feel anger – ask yourself these questions.
Why are you so angry?
Are you creating some of your own anger?
You’d be shocked how many people actually sabotage the here and now, by chasing tomorrow.
The problem with chasing tomorrow, is that you never catch up.
