The Forgotten Crown Chakra & Your Skin, Psyche and Soul
Women tend to focus on the root, sacral or throat chakra's and "dabble" in some others, but often overlook the crown chakra.
Therapeutically, this isn't very shocking. Most women enter the therapy room feeling their emotional pain in their reproductive or sexual self or their heart self. Almost always, they feel that they have not been able to experience safe expression.
In my neuromarketing days, I learned that demographically, women were drawn to purple and also, to meditation; both of which are symbols of the crown chakra!
We women tend to have a hard time surrendering; we think we do, especially if in conflict or feeling neglected or abused in the past (or present) but that is abuse or for some women, they might confuse submissiveness with surrender.
The surrender I speak of is a surrender to a higher power. You might call that higher power God, or Universe, Source or Self.
Most women, interestingly, are also drawn to the scent of rose or lavender, and these are also scents that are connected with the crown chakra.
When we ignore the crown chakra because we are so concerned about our sacral, root, heart or throat chakras, we are missing a huge opportunity for release.
Our minds are closed when our literal crown charka is closed. We might be judgemental, or pessimistic, sarcastic and thus, frown quite a bit (angry wrinkles anyone?). We might have TMJ or, poor tooth and gum health. We might have ear or sight struggles, headaches or continual bouts of allergy symptoms such as "stuffy nose" or "itchy eyes". Our skin might be dry but breaking out.
When you recognize that your crown chakra might need support, you can work on forgiving yourself first, then those that you feel stopped you from your energetic, soulful and human flow.
There is always a divine plan, and while you might not know what that is, trusting and surrendering to your own higher power, and self-trust, will go a long way in helping you to free your mind, literally.
