Teacher training with Michele Paiva is comprehensive and draws from not only her yoga & natural wellness background but her legal advocacy and business experiences as well. Paiva is also a former personal trainer, and wellness specialist for radio, television, print and web media. Students enjoy her easy-going but professional style, and respect her dedication and passion for wellness.

The 200-hour Certification which was under the Yoga Alliance, a national support and educational organization, is currently being revolutionized for a more  comprehensive and vigorous experience to fit the ever-changing role of the yoga teacher to include  participating as a guide in the clients wellness while sometimes working with doctors, clinics, parents and more.


Four certifications are available. Blue font currently accepting applications for.

(1) The 250-hour teacher certification program with a focus on Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, and Ayurveda. Other styles will be explored including, but not limited to Kundalini, Hatha and Raja.   
The program is six months in length, and tuition and length of study do not qualify certification alone; however, the student teacher must also successfully demonstrate  through internship, a variety of skills and knowledge from teaching practices, legal matters, contradictions and limitations for individuals and asanas, ethics, Sanskrit, Anatomy and Physiology and more. 


Registered Teacher Continuing Education
Paiva provides continuing education for already matriculated certified Yoga Alliance instructors, under the guidelines of the Yoga Alliance. According to the Alliance, registered yoga instructors must complete 45 hours of teaching and 30 hours of training to stay in good standing. This training is conducted in a personalized manner and group opportunities are available.

Children's Yoga Mentor

For yoga instructors and non-professional yoga instructors such as nurses or teachers, this is a great certificate to earn. Meant for shorter instruction with more emphasis on incorporating basic yoga with minimal contradictions to a class or clinic setting. Two months training, part time. 

This certification is not leading to RYT certification however, may be accepted as hour hours of study for toward Yoga Alliance Certification. 

This certification shows that you have trained with an E-500 RYT (experienced 500+ hour Registered Yoga Teacher recognized through the National Yoga Alliance) and the purpose of this certification is so that those who wish to inspire youth can do so in a more focused manner, armed with support and guidance.

This one month online certification includes a four week, once a week email to encompass online research, homework and one writing assignment; after grading and passing (with a 75% pass focus) you will be sent a PDF Certificate to help market yourself and bring wellness to youth.  
Approximately eight study hours total (would be a one day workshop in person)

Students will receive studies via email, weekly. This is not mass produced, this will be personal, so your homework will be read and graded. Students are expected to have internet service and check their email weekly for the entirety of this program.


Michele Paiva has worked with youth in the performing arts and yoga for over two decades, as well as worked as an advocate for gifted youth, learning disabled youth, twice exceptional youth and a legal advocate for victims in federally funded organizations such as universities and public schools. Paiva was also a choreographer for national television with Dance Party USA on the USA Network, Dancin' on Air and the children's show, The Bozo Show.

Tuition for Teacher Certification includes unlimited classes for training time, all classes and support. It is expected that teacher trainees commit, learn, participate in outreach, commit to independent research that may utilize book and internet exploration, and have folder/notebooks/writing supplies as requested.
