Long Bio

Michele Paiva, A Philadelphia region based, licensed psychotherapist, neuromarketing and neuroeconomic strategist, helps individuals and conscious businesses move out of personal and professional trauma and stress.

Her background includes legal advocacy focusing on Title IX rights and anti-discrimination work with 30+ years of professional experience in marketing, writing, psychotherapy and wellness specializations in addition to print and broadcast journalism focusing on public affairs. She has been contracted by Kodak and Bollinger Fitness as a national spokesperson and as an investigative reporter for Tri-State Media, as well as anchored Comcast CN8’s Newsmakers. In addition, she has owned dance and yoga studios for most of the past three decades; she was affiliated with the Yoga Alliance for many years, in their highest level delineation, while being an approved training facility for professional yoga therapy as well. She also has volunteered with local and national agencies, serving on mental health boards and committees and is very involved with the International Society of Ethical Psychologists and Psychiatrists, as well as serving as faculty for the Body Mind Institute.

In addition to her professional work, she enjoyed serving nonprofits in her year as Mrs. Pennsylvania International 2003, and in rearing the endangered Monarch Butterfly in her very own butterfly house. An avid supporter of science, she brings an eco-conscious view to all of her work, and balances her professional life with a focus on nature, from outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking to outdoor meditation.

Her practice is rich in creativity and neurophenomenology; her local clients participate in art, bibliotherapy and music as paths to wellness, and her local practice includes yoga therapy and integrated meditation, biofeedback and neurofeedback.

She brings a unique mix of a Christian-Jewish home-life, while informing her personal and professional life in Buddhism. She was inducted by the His Holiness, the Dalai Lama in 2013, and volunteers as an online Sangha leader for Thich Naht Hanh’s Plum Village.
