National Gifted Scholars Cooperative
A passion of mine for years, has been the needs of youth in our educational system. This does not mean only our public or private school systems; this means that in whole, our system of educating our youth - from homeschooling to costly private schools, is for the most part, at a disservice to the children and young adults on the receiving end.
My researching and writing on the topic of the gifted and twice exceptional led me to see a niche that needed to be filled. Although wonderful online coops exist, some are run by students for the most part, there is nothing that had given parents a more clear measurable system and youth a challenging yet nurturing environment in education; something to meet both needs and desires.
I was not the only person to see this niche, and we have professors who teach advanced programming skills as well as a variety of classes to enrich the most curious student or to pique the most unmotivated student, such as botany, war and peace and all that jazz, creative literature and self-directed projects, in addition to many more.
The online coop is available for any youth, in any environment, with access to a computer -and scholarships exist. www.nationalgiftedscholars.com

Prana - Born from Experience.
"Born from Experience" is a truism if I ever heard one. I've been wearing Prana for about five years myself. When I tried it on, it was phenomenal. I originally bought it for teaching yoga, but then realized that it washes amazing and I could pair the items with other items to mix/match and end up with some ensembles that could be after-five. I have two rescue dogs and one dog that was a sick puppy mill puppy when I received her. I have two teenagers and through the years, we have as a family, focused on outreach to help not just "directly" children and animals, but families.

Expanding Minds: Tolerance and Knowledge
Be it the neuroplasticity of the mind, taking the ancient practice of yoga and combining limbs for mental control to remedy addictions or general research to better understand our own capacities; my focus is to bring the wonders of science in a simplistic and over-the-kitchen-table conversational tone in communicating with others, to inspire and ignite passion in all phases of science from physics to biology to bio-engineering.

Combined with education, I am a coach for Chester County with the American Chemical Society; and I bring students who enjoy science and unlikely "science-phobics" together to create learning opportunities for other youth and adults. This also brings a sense of community and outreach to the entire group.

Within science is learning that ideas can differ and to bring knowledge and tolerance under one roof.

Speech and Debate: Politics and World Events
As a National Forensics League Coach I led my team to two national wins in one year, within six months. I am dedicated now to helping youth and adults with one of the most common fears; public speaking. If one can't present themselves well verbally, they are at a disadvantage in both studies, work and life.

I've developed programming for families; bringing families, couples and organizational families together to help them overcome fears, enhance skills and, I regularly focus on "stirring the pot" to create debates and mold people to tactfully present their case and to see the other side with complete respect. I am dedicated to understanding politics deeper (it's huge when you look at all of the issues, study the past and try to conceive the future...) as well as general world events. From this standpoint, the idea is to bring global differences into mediations.

The Monarch Butterfly & Birds....
Honored to be working with the University of Kansas as a Monarch station, for the goal of studying and preserving Monarch Butterfly populations. Also at risk are varieties of birds in our state of Pennsylvania, and we purchase eggs, hatch raise and release; studying while doing our part to help efforts of life cycle conservation.

Additionally, one of my passions is studying nature and trying to understand deeper the concepts of celestial and magnetic energies and how those energies or lack of, effect us. It is my belief that we are nature deficient and thus, one of my goals is to find ways of bringing what we think of as a normal society back into a place of more balance; I feel we can do this by studying nature more closely, and I do go into this topically in my book "Raise the Snake".
