Here is an idea that will help bridge you from summer into fall, with an Ayurveda twist.
--Rice or Risotto cooked with diced onion, chopped and cooked asparagus, minced garlic, and cooked in vegetable stock coupled with cooked lettuce (yes you can cook it to a wilt or grill it!) with grilled veggies.
and
White bean soup: cooked and processed beans, with six cups vegetable broth, a teaspoon of tomato paste (or more if you enjoy the flavor), ginger (a few pinches), and the following diced:
carrot, squash, onion, and a bit of dill.
your drink...
a light tea and if you wish, coffee about a half hour after, with a dessert of grilled apples and cinnamon.
